THE 806’S TOP 30 PLAYERS RETURNING TO THE GRIDIRON FOR 2019

In 2018, the 806 fielded some great talent! Players like DK Blaylock, King Doerue, Blair Conwright, Payton, Reese, Beau and more! So, what about next season? Folks, we have some big time players on the way for 2019 and beyond! Here is our top 30 players that will hit the Gridiron next fall. Yes, it's in order..
#1 Kobie Mckinzie: Lubbock-Cooper/LB/S/DE
http://www.hudl.com/profile/11480164/Kobie-McKinzie
Kobie is going to be a force the next three years, and in college!
Kobie, who has already been offered by Illinois State and Incarnate Word, will be the biggest recruit to come out of Lubbock in quite some time. Every time the Pirates needed a play, he delivered. With the tutelage of one of the best high school coaching staffs in the nation, expect him to be one of the nation's best defensive players in 2022.
#2 Sawyer Robertson: Coronado High/QB
https://www.hudl.com/profile/9128345/Sawyer-Robertson
Sawyer electrified in his Sophomore season and don't expect a layoff anytime soon. SMU knows what's coming with the 2021 QB as they have offered him already and expect about 20 more to come his way as well. Very humble young man that learns on the fly. With Coach Seth Parr guiding him, it's scary to think what he will look like in his Senior season!
#3 Isaiah Johnson: Lubbock-Cooper/TB
https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2020/isaiah-johnson-210021
Isaiah has over 1,200 yards and over 20 touchdowns in his first year with the Pirates. Johnson will be a Senior next year and has already garnered two offers; one from Incarnate Word, and one from Eastern new Mexico. Expect the big offers to come this summer. He'e got that "it" factor!
#4 Jasean Barrow: Randall Raiders/TB(LB)
Jasean had another great year for Randall and he has been receiving major interest from DI programs all year. He will have plenty of choices when he plays in his last year of football in 2019 and he will be a beast on Saturdays as well!
#5 Coreon Bailey: Monterey Plainsmen/QB
Coreon is a human highlight film. A very strong arm, paired up with breakaway speed makes him a dual threat quarterback, and one of the top dual threat quarterbacks in his class. Whoever passes on Coreon will pay dearly.
#6 Charlie Robinson: Coronado High/LB
http://www.hudl.com/profile/9451560/Charlie-Robinson
Charlie is a man amongst boys out here at Linebacker! He is everywhere on the field, and there in a hurry! A born leader already and he holds everyone accountable, including himself, he is sure to blow up by next year. He don't mess around!
#7 Sederick Colbert: Estacado High/LB/SS
http://www.hudl.com/profile/11584210/Sederick-Colbert
Sederick is slept on.. but he is an absolute stud on defense. 6'3" 215 pounds and built like a tank! Very fast through the holes and makes dangerous impact every tackle. He has had some looks. but expect offers by this time next season. He works very hard and won't be denied!
#8 Tarik Williams: Caprock HS/ATH
http://www.hudl.hudl.com/v/2AvnGe
Tarik had a great season, and then it got even better as he received his first Division One offer from Howard University! He will do what's asked of him, and he will do it well! Very sharp young man and great things are coming for him the rest of his career!
#9 Jake Gilbert: Frenship High/LB
Jake is a monster at linebacker for the Tigers! Gilbert garnered many awards during his Sophomore year and trust me, he isn't done yet! Expect a couple of big seasons coming for Jake, and someone will get a beast!
#10 John Holcomb: Wellington High/DE/TE
http://www.hudl.com/video/3/6412630/5c0579844ba8250d4064b987
John is 6'5" and 215 pounds! If you look at his tape, you'll notice immediately that he plays angry and very fast. What i like most is his elusiveness; he can play every position on the field and has the grades to match! He is a DI player easy! His play will transfer over to the elite classes and schools!
#11 Erik Williams: Coronado High/OL
Erik can flat-out play! 6'4" and weighing in at 240 pounds, he is the fast, but physical lineman that everyone is looking for! He is an unquestioned leader for Coach Ramos and with Ramos having him under his guidance for another year, bet on Erik to be going to a major school next year!
#12 Ayden Visage: Lubbock-Cooper/ OL
Ayden has major potential for the Pirates folks, and he is getting some of the best training in West Texas with Big Rich's services. He opened up plenty of holes for his team last year, and don't expect anything less this season from Ayden
#13 Nehemiah Martinez: Lubbock-Cooper/ TB/FS
Nehemiah has waited his turn, and now with him fully-eligible next season, expect a dangerous player joining the Pirates' 2019 squad! He really can be plugged in anywhere and make an all-star impact and loves bringing the wood on both sides of the ball. A division one ATH talent, coaches on the next level need to make sure not to miss on Martinez!
#14 Bryson Daily: Abernathy High/ FS/LB
http://www.hudl.com/video/3/5266332/5c1332e523529c1328faa207
Bryson has been the big man on campus since the 7th grade! Very physical, but very fast as well. He will make you pay on both sides of the ball as he had a heck of a season for Abernathy as they advanced to the fourth round in 3A DII's playoff chase. He is going to go DI, just don't know which position!
#15 Izaiah Kelley: Coronado High/ LB/WR
https://www.hudl.com/profile/10968670/Izaiah-Kelley
Izaiah started as one of the wide receivers for Coronado, but due to all the injuries he switched over to linebacker for the Mustangs and had one of the best seasons for any linebacker in West Texas! 6'2" and weighing in at 180 pounds, he he fits his position very well. He will be a coveted DI prospect in his 2021 class!
#16 LB Moore: Tascosa High/ DE/OLB
PHOTOCRED: NEWSCHANNEL 10 AMARILLO
LB has one of the quickest motors I've ever seen. It seems like every other play, he's at the quarterback in a flash. Moore really broke out this year and looks to be coming into his own. He is getting a ton of DI interest and will be going DI in 2020.
#17 Davin Lemmons: Amarillo High/ WR
Named Honorable Mention All-State in 5A, all he does is make big plays! He is 5'10" and 140 pounds, but is a agile and quick wide receiver for the Sandies. He will be a major get for any coach in his 2021 class!
# 18 Jermiah Dobbins: Estacado High
http://www.hudl.com/video/3/8147366/5a1b353115f6331130abe7c8
Jermiah had over 1,000 yards again this season as he split time with Senior Seth Porter in the backfield. His straight-line speed is scary! He is on a lot of lists as far as offers go, and this summer should catapult Dobbins into a few of those.
#19 Jon Hernandez: Coronado High/WR
Jon had an exceptional season for Coronado including a couple of viral plays as well. He will come back next year as the #1 receiver for an offense that passes a lot! His coming out party may have just started..
#20 Joseph Plunk: Tascosa High/ QB-FS
http://www.hudl.com/video/3/7995218/5c181c7a4df56e0e789596f3
Once Joseph settled in at he QB position, he was a monster as he led his team to the 6A DII State Semis in 2018. Another big year is on the way for Plunk, and some offers should be coming his was too.
#21 DAMARIUS WHITE: PLAINVIEW HIGH/ CB/S
http://senior-year-www.hudl.com/v/2B1N1d
Damarius White is a player! He is always around the football and laying thundershots on opponents. White had ten pass breakups and four forced fumbles on the year for the Bulldogs! Another year like that, and he'll be playing for someone on Saturdays.
#22 Keke Murray: Estacado High/ CB-WR
http://www.hudl.com/profile/11778772/KeKe-Murray
Keke is a lock down cornerback for the Matadors and a leader. Always trying to perfect his craft, he will be even better next season for Cluley's squad; that's not good news for his opponents. He is an FBS/DI talent, and it looks as if everyone is finally taking notice.
#23 Dondray Degrate: Palo Duro High/ QB
Well, Palo Duro hasn't had a player this good in a while at the Quarterback position. He broke damn-near all the records for the Dons and he will have another big time year in 2019. He has already went on a few visits and is gaining some traction. 2019 should be his breakout year.
#24 Drew Hocutt: Frenship High/WR
http://www.hudl.com/video/3/9157135/5be715582351dc0db028bfa0
Drew is just ALWAYS OPEN! He never drops the ball. He can get separation and also make the catch and get up the field quickly. He has the look of a great slot receiver and he's going to be elite next season for the Tigers.
#25 Jalin Conyers: Gruver High/ WR-CB
https://www.hudl.com/profile/8034611/Jalin-Conyers
He honestly could've been the third or fourth player on this list, but is he playing football after next year? He is also the top prospect in the 806 for basketball as well. He could play DI football if he wants and play DI basketball. He is blessed, and very good!!
#26 Damontrareis Lacy: Monterey High/ TB
http://www.hudl.com/profile/8094948/Damontrareis-Lacy
Lacy could've been a lot higher on the list, but injuries derailed his season somewhat. He is a DI talent and I expect a huge Senior season from D. He is a special talent, can't just take him down with one tackler!
#27 Jack Mckay: Canyon High/WR
https://ww.hudl.com/profile/9801911/Jack-McKay
#28 Peyton McNutt: Plainview High/ TB/FS
http://l.hudl.com/profile/8093761/Peyton-McNutt
#29 Treyson Dilworth: Palo Duro High/ TB
https://vwww.hudl.com/profile/9999551/Treyson-Dilworth
#30 TY Williams: Monterey High/ ATH/FS/WR
http://www.hudl.com/video/3/8464133/5c06abe417622508fcbbb6a8
A solid list, but I'm not perfect. If I missed any, feel free to send me some HUDL Links and I'll get back to work! #31 was Grant McCook and #32 was Jack Koetting
