PRATES' CHRONICLES: LCP BACK TO BASICS ON DAY ONE

As we all know, the Pirates had a good team last year, but could've had a great one if they could've gotten by WF Rider; a team that the Pirates beat in the regular season, but lost to in the State Quarterfinals. So what's new in 2019?

LCP'S Kobie Mckinzie, who was offered by OU today!

Well, for one, we have a new Head Coach in Chip Darden as Coach Max Kattwinkel moves up to strictly AD duties as Lubbock-Cooper skyrockets in enrollment! A new quarterback is in at QB1 in Cooper Lafebre and Nehemiah Martinez will be another dangerous piece in the puzzle for Coach Darden and the Pirates who already have Isaiah Johnson, Jacob Dennis and Tyler Hairston in the backfield that is loaded! Nehemiah, who received his second offer this week form Air Force, looks to be playing some wide receiver and Free Safety this season.

LCP'S Nehemiah Martinez, who received his second offer this week from Air Force!

Cameron Bednarz also received an offer from the Air Force this week and looks to have bulked up in the winter and doesn't drop any pass thrown to him. Ayden Visage is back to anchor a young, but very talented offensive line that will be the key once again for the Pirates' attack and success in the playoffs. The Pirates should and will get to the State Quarterfinals again this season and may see Rider, again. If LCP stays focused and hungry, they should be playing Aledo in the State Semifinals in 5A DII. This could be the year for something special from the Pirate Nation! Now, below is their workout of day one of my coverage as the Pirates worked out hard all morning! Part two will focus on the trenches as we go all-access with the Offensive Line!
