KIMPSON, CHAVEZ IMPRESS AT ASGR CLASSIC

Another great weekend of girls High School Basketball is in the books after the ASGR Media Austin Classic! While it was mostly ProSkills and CyFair Elite teams, it was still fun and packed a thunder punch at the end when ProSkills 17U finally played CyFair Elite 17U EYBL on the hardwood in a thriller!

THE PROSPECTS THAT STOOD OUT:

AALIYAH CHAVEZ:

CyFair Elite 17U EYBL

Class of 2025 Guard

Aaliyah continually improves her stock after every outing; so much so to the point where she will have no where else to go soon on the mountaintop as she is regarded as the number one player in the Nation, regardless of classification. CyFair Elite 17U EYBL had another great team outing as they finished second in their second-consecutive tournament after falling to ProSkills in the 17U final, 47-41

SHILOH KIMPSON

CyFair Elite 16U EYBL

Class of 2025 Guard

Shiloh is an up-and-coming star in her class. She was unguardable when she went to the bucket and she finished through contact as well. The sky is the limit for Kimpson as she was named the Most Outstanding Player on her team that won the 16U Bracket.

VICTORIA FLORES

ProSkills 17U

Class of 2023 Guard

I have been watching Flores all summer: she is the real deal! Sometimes it isn’t about how many points you score, but those leadership moments like when CyFair Elite 17U was on a run in the 17U Championship game and she called her team over to calm them down and refocus the squad. It’s the little things that a point guard is counted on to do and she can do it all including the clutch three-pointer that virtually sealed the win for ProSkills Sunday.

JOY EGBUNA

ProSkills 15U

Class of 2025 PF

Joy was a menacing player this weekend for ProSkills 15U! She at least 6’2“ and weighs probably 190 pounds and has a high motor. She is going to blow up.. Don’t be late to the party!

AMBROSIA COLE

CyFair Elite 16U EYBL

Class of 2026 Guard

Ambrosia had a lot of time on the floor this weekend for Coach Cooper’s CyFair Elite 16U EYBL team and she didn’t disappoint as she had one stretch in their Semifinal game where she scored eight-straight points and had three steals.. in less than two minutes. Cole is one of the few eighth graders playing up and looking like she belongs with the best of them; She will be special.

LACI STEELE

ProSkills 17U

Class of 2023 Guard

Laci is an assassin; there is a reason she has upwards of 20 offers in her Senior Summer for ProSkills. Don’t leave her open because she is lethal behind the three-point line and has a nice pull-up game to compliment her long-range accuracy. Steele hit three tough bombs for ProSkills to help get her team a win against CyFair Sunday afternoon in a great performance on both sides of the ball.

JUSTICE CARLTON

CyFair Elite 17U EYBL

Class of 2024 SF

Justice is very savvy around the paint and can put it on the floor and create her own space and shot as well. Carlton has a ton of offers and will be one of the top players in her 2024 class; every school would love to have her!

JULIANNA LAMENDOLA

ProSkills 17U

Class of 2023 Guard

LET’S GO, BIG TEXAS!!

Julianna had a heck of a weekend at the ASGR Classic as she showed her range, got to the basket with ease and played superior defense! She really can play top-tier basketball and will be a coveted prospect in the 2023 class!

OTHER PLAYERS THAT HAD A GREAT WEEKEND:

Kelly Mora- Class of 2023 PF

Maddie Cox- Class of 2023 PF

Aniya Foy- Class of 2025 G

Jorynn Ross- Class of 2023 C

Chloe Clardy- Class of 2023 G
